Alan has been lucky enough to fulfill 3 of his lifelong ambitions, teaching the ways of the Force as a Jedi for Lucasfilm, entering the Wizarding World of J.K Rowling as Mr Goldstein in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and most recently searching for Phil Mitchell as a police officer in Eastenders.
You may have also seen him performing the Haka in the ITV ident before every Rugby World Cup game in 2015, having a fight with Colin Firth in Born Equal (BBC), and in numerous other productions including Pride (BBC Films), War Horse (Dreamworks) and the award winning Eddie (Overhead Films). His theatre credits include The Factory (National Tour), Requiem for Tomorrow (Shaw Theatre) and Flamingo Blues (Unicorn Theatre). |

Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (UAE)/ 2021-Present
Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) is dedicated to world-leading education and training in the performing arts and is the professional conservatoire in the MENA region. Alan is Associate Programme Leader (Digital & Recorded) Media and is responsible for planning, development and delivery of all aspects of film, digital and recorded media training throughout the academy. LMA is co-owned by global superstar Robbie Williams, and offer a wide range of Level 3 and BA (Cons) degrees in media, music and performing arts. Having run extremely successfully for over 10 years in Liverpool, LMA are expanding to London and opening a brand new campus in Stratford. Alan taught across the Acting, Musical Theatre and Film & TV Production degrees. Modules included: Acting for Screen, Movement, Classical / Contemporary Acting Styles, Directing, Scriptwriting and Post-Production. |
PQA STUDIOS / 2018/2020
The Pauline Quirk Academy of Performing Arts at PQA Studios London, is a full-time training institution and arts centre that opened in September 2018 at the Islington premises on Pentonville Road (formerly the Poor School). Alan was responsible for planning, development and delivery of all the acting & creative media aspects of the academy including Screen Acting, Voice overs, Acting for Radio and Filmmaking. Five Valleys Productions are an innovative multi disciplined production company dedicated to telling stories that challenge the conventional and celebrate community, humanity and individuality. As Artistic Director Alan directed a number of productions including Romeo + Juliet and Twelfth Night for the first Stroud Shakespeare Festival in May 2018, a festival he also directed. |
