The Podcast:
EPISODE 1 THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS - CHAPTER 1 - THE RIVER BANK The Mole leaves his spring cleaning to explore the world above. He meets the Water Rat and the two set off for a leisurely row down the river. The two animals stop to enjoy their picnic and Mole has a first meeting with Otter and Badger and a first sighting of Toad, who is also out on the river. When they resume Mole grows a little jealous of the Rat and decides he would like to have a go at rowing...with disastrous consequences. They return to Water Rat's home and Mole goes to sleep listening to his new friend - the river - lapping at the sill of his window. |

EPISODE 2
THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS - CHAPTER 2 - THE OPEN ROAD Mole asks the Rat if they can visit Toad, so off they both go to Toad Hall. Toad is delighted to welcome them and reveals his passion for boating has recently been replaced by a canary-coloured caravan. In fact, Toad intends all three of them to start a caravan adventure that very day. Ratty can see that Mole is anxious to agree to the trip so both friends set off on the open road with Toad. They spend an uneventful night in the caravan and the following morning a distant cloud of dust appears on the horizon - a motor car. The car flashes past and the caravan falls into a ditch. But far from being annoyed Toad is entranced: as the car disappears once again all he can say is 'Poop! Poop!' |
